Tournament of Champions Rules 2025

First Tournament of Champions of 2025 will start February 2nd and run through March 28th 2025

· Teams must have no more than 6 players

· Teams may play trivia at any qualifying venue (qualifying venues listed below) they choose, and as many times as they want per week. There will be new trivia every night during the tournament weeks! The more you play in a week, the more points you will earn!

· Teams must use the same team name everywhere they play. Your team name must include a 4 digit number at the end. Think of it as a PIN number. THIS IS KEY AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE IT IS ON YOUR SHEET! Sheets without your PIN number next to your name will NOT be counted. (FOR EXAMPLE: if your team name is usually “Brain Freeze”, during the tournament choose your name to be “Brain Freeze 5843”) so we definitely don’t have multiple teams with the same name

· Any team caught cheating will automatically be excluded from the tournament

· Points can only be earned once per night per team name/PIN number. For example a team may not split into 2 teams in order to earn points at the same location on the same night nor can a team split into 2 and go to different locations on the same night to earn points. This includes Music Bingo

· Locations will continue to provide their normal nightly prizes during tournament play as well as prizes for the actual Tournament held on April 13th

· Tournament points are earned as follows: 1st place gets 4 points, 2nd place gets 3 points, 3rd place gets 2 points, all other teams get 1 point for showing up and playing the full trivia game

· Your team can also gain tournament points by playing Music Bingo. Your team will only earn 1 point for each bingo game you WIN. You do not receive points just for attending. You must tell the host your trivia team name/PIN number if you win a bingo so you will receive your point

· The top 15 teams with the most tournament points will be invited to the tournament. If for any reason one of the top 15 teams can’t or doesn’t want to attend the tournament, the invitation will be extended to the next team with the most points. This process will continue in order of qualifying teams until all 15 spots are filled

· The Tournament will be held on April 13th at Brick and Barrel in Lincoln. Time is TBD

· Tournament prizes are as follows:

a. 1st place gets the regular first place prizes from every location, a trophy, PLUS a free 8 day Mexican Riviera cruise for 2 people. Terms and conditions apply. Please see rules and conditions of the cruise below.

b. 2nd place gets the regular second place prizes from every location and a trophy

c. 3rd place gets the regular third place prizes from every location and a trophy

d. 4th-15th place receives a thank you gift

If there is any discrepancy in scoring/questions etc, Brain Freeze Trivia Hosts will always review, be fair, and have final say

CRUISE WINNING RULES

· The cruise is an 8-day Mexican Riviera cruise in an ocean view cabin out of Long Beach, CA on the Carnival Panorama on the dates of January 31st-February 8th 2026. This date and itinerary cannot be changed by the winners or Brain Freeze Trivia. If for some odd reason Carnival cruise lines cancels it, Brain Freeze Trivia will pick a different sailing date.

· Cruise is for 2 people ONLY in the same cabin. It will be up to your team to decide who those 2 people will be. Those 2 people must only be people from your team. If the rest of the team wants to go, it will be their responsibility to book and pay for their own cruise.

· The 2 winning guests are required to pay port taxes/fees and gratuities in the amount of $288 per person due by contacting Kristy Huskey (915-521-9075) by May 21st 2025 as well as a credit card number for each guest to be put down on your booking for any charges incurred by you on the cruise by January 1st 2026.

· The 2 winning guests are responsible for providing their own transportation to and from the cruise.

· This cruise is provided by Craig and Kristy Huskey. Because of that, Guest 1 will receive free alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks anywhere on board the ship (carnival cruise line alcohol limit is 15 drinks per day) and Guest 2 will receive free alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks while playing in the casino only

· The 2 winning guests are responsible for providing all paperwork to Carnival cruise lines on the sail date of the cruise. Please see Carnival.com for required identification. We (Brain Freeze) highly encourage you to have a passport as this is the easiest

· If you cannot for any reason take the cruise, the cruise winnings will be forfeited. If you cancel within 90 days before sail date, your payment of $288 per person will also be forfeited as Carnival will not reimburse after that date. There is no cash value to this prize and Brain Freeze Trivia will not hand out an alternative prize

· Kristy and Craig Huskey will be on this cruise as well since this is the only way we could get this deal. We have to meet up with you once on board the ship to hand out room keys. This will be explained in detail once your team chooses who goes on the cruise. In no way shape or form are you required to “hang out” with us during this cruise.
