Tournament of Champions Rules 2025

Second Tournament of Champions of 2025 will start April 28th and run through June 27th 2025

· Teams must have no more than 6 players

· Teams may play trivia at any qualifying venue (qualifying venues listed below) they choose, and as many times as they want per week. There will be new trivia every night during the tournament weeks! The more you play in a week, the more points you will earn!

· Teams must use the same team name everywhere they play. Your team name must include a 4 digit number at the end. Think of it as a PIN number. THIS IS KEY AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE IT IS ON YOUR SHEET! Sheets without your PIN number next to your name will NOT be counted. (FOR EXAMPLE: if your team name is usually “Brain Freeze”, during the tournament choose your name to be “Brain Freeze 5843”) so we definitely don’t have multiple teams with the same name

· Any team caught cheating will automatically be excluded from the tournament

· Points can only be earned once per night per team name/PIN number. For example a team may not split into 2 teams in order to earn points at the same location on the same night nor can a team split into 2 and go to different locations on the same night to earn points. This includes Music Bingo

· Locations will continue to provide their normal nightly prizes during tournament play as well as prizes for the actual Tournament held on July 13th.

· Tournament points are earned as follows: 1st place gets 4 points, 2nd place gets 3 points, 3rd place gets 2 points, all other teams get 1 point for showing up and playing the full trivia game

· Your team can also gain tournament points by playing Music Bingo. Your team will only earn 1 point for each bingo game you WIN. You do not receive points just for attending. You must tell the host your trivia team name/PIN number if you win a bingo so you will receive your point

· The top 15 teams with the most tournament points will be invited to the tournament. If for any reason one of the top 15 teams can’t participate in the tournament, the next team in line will be invited to attend.

The actual tournament will be on July 13th at House of Pizza in ROCKLIN. The top 3 winners at the tournament will receive the regular prizes from each location that they give out to first second and third place teams and a trophy. This usually adds up to approximately $600-$800 total. Teams that end up 4-15 at the tournament will receive a thank you gift from Brain Freeze Trivia
